The Delegates Assembly this month voted to update our union’s child care reimbursement guidelines. You can be reimbursed for child care expenses incurred when you attend a union meeting.
The new guidelines raise the reimbursement rate from $15/hour to $20/hour, expand the reimbursement to include elder care (if you need to pay someone to stay with an elder family member so that you can attend a union meeting), and continues to exclude reimbursement for care performed by a household member.
To receive reimbursement, simply email a receipt or note from your child care provider to the union President, Vice President, or Treasurer.
