As a part of UAW Region 9A, we are proud to announce that the UAW has endorsed Tiffany Caban for Queens DA. Caban is a 31-year-old, queer Latina from a working-class family, who has worked as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society and now is poised to utterly transform and reform the Queens DA’s office.
Our endorsement followed interviews not only of Caban, but also of Rory Lancman (NY City Council; chair of Courts Committee; former Assemblymember), Mina Malik (former head of the CCRB), Greg Lasak (former Queens Criminal Court Judge), and Melinda Katz(Queens Borough President).
